Vodafone will double the data allowance on its $30 prepaid cap from 500MB to 1GB as part of a Christmas promotion, but the deal is a limited one that will only run until the end of January 2014.
The telco announced today that the included data allowance on its $30 prepaid cap plan will jump from 500MB to 1GB, provided the recharge is activated by Friday, 31 January 2014.
Vodafone's Chief Marketing Officer, Kim Clarke, said the increase in data is primarily a Christmas promotion.
"By doubling the data from 500MB to 1GB we hope our prepaid customers will double the amount of fun they have with their mobile.""With the arrival of the holiday season we know our customers love to surf the web, Instagram Christmas party pictures or WhatsApp with friends more so now than at any other time of the year."
The increase in prepaid data allowance comes on the back of last month's announcement that existing Vodafone prepaid customers can now access its 4G network.
From tomorrow, any new customers to the Vodafone prepaid network will also have the ability to access 4G, which is currently available in selected areas of Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Newcastle and Wollongong.
