Survey: 20% of Aussie Apple users wouldn't switch to Android for a million dollars

A survey conducted by MyDiscountDeals.com has found that 20% of respondent Apple users claiming they wouldn't switch to Android for a million dollars.  

The was more or less matched by dedicated Android fans, with 1 in 5 also saying they wouldn’t switch to the iPhone for $1 million. Still, the survey found that a free phone would be enough for a third of Aussies to switch from an iPhone to Android or vice versa.

Isabella Marco, Marketing Manager at MyDiscountDeals.com said that “As dedication to specific brands, such as Apple of Android, heighten over time, one of the biggest things to look out for is ensuring they don’t get taken advantage of or pay more than what their purchases are worth. Saving and spending wisely, and not just going along with the herd, will be a significant challenge for our next generations."

Other findings in the survey included:

  • Women (22%) are less likely than men (14%) to switch between iPhone and Android phones
  •  51% of non-iPhone users said they wouldn’t give up anything to buy the new iPhone X outright.
  • Nearly half of iPhone users would require at least $500 cash incentive to make the switch to Android.
  • Mobile phone insurance is more popular among iPhone users with 1 in 7 iPhone users have insurance compared with only 1 in 12 Android users.
