Telstra has announced that the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ have been awarded Blue Tick certification.
The Blue Tick means the new Samsung smartphones provide the best possible coverage in rural and regional areas and join those handsets that Telstra recommends for use by regional customers to provide them with the best coverage experience.
“The Telstra Mobile Network is Australia’s largest, fastest and most reliable, but user experience is not just about the network, it is also about the handset,” said Kevin Teoh, Telstra’s Head of Mobiles. “For this reason Telstra established the Blue Tick certification to recommend products which have passed specific testing and which will, as a result, deliver superior voice coverage performance for our customers in regional and rural areas. We are happy to report that the new Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ both came through our extensive field and lab tests with flying colours and are duly awarded our Blue Tick certification.”
Other handsets that are Blue Tick certified currently include the iPhone 8, Telstra Tough Max 2, Sony Xperia XZ and more.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be available to purchase on March 16th.
