Canon has launched the PowerShot SX740, a compact camera that offers 40x optical zoom.
The pocket sized camera features 4K Ultra HD video capabilities, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth smartphone connectivity and a range of automatic settings.
The PowerShot SX740 features ZoomPlus technology, which digitally increases the 40x optical zoom to 80x. The combination of the DIGIC 8 processor and CMOS sensor make it easy to create sharp, colourful and high definition photos and videos, according to Canon.
The camera also includes 5-axis stabilisation and rapid autofocus.
The PowerShot SX740 integrates with smart devices using the free Canon Camera Connect app for compatible iOS and Android devices. Photos and video can be transferred from the camera to smart devices automatically. Content can also be saved to Canon’s Irista cloud storage platform or synced wirelessly to PCs and Macs.
The Canon Power Shot SX740 will be available from the beginning of September.
