Riot Games, in partnership with the AFL, have announced that tickets are now on sale for League of Legends: League of Origin.
The League of Origin consists of teams from New Zealand, New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria.
“The AFL is excited to provide League of Legends fans the chance to see their favourite players live in action,” said Darren Birch, AFL General Manager, Growth, Digital and Audiences. “Margaret Court Arena is a prime location to bring together fans from across the nation and New Zealand for the League of Origin Grand Final.”
The two teams that make it through to the Grand Final will compete, live on stage, on November 17 at Margaret Court Arena.
“We’re excited to be taking League of Legends: League of Origin to Melbourne in what will be the second stadium event there this year after a fantastic OPL Grand Final at Melbourne Park,” said Dan Ringland, Country Manager at Riot Games.
“Given their victory in the inaugural League of Legends last year, the team from Vic will no doubt be keen to show New South Wales, Queensland and New Zealand that they are still the strongest esports state in the region.”
League of Origin semi finals will be broadcast on Twitch.tv.
Tickets to the League of Legends: League of Origin grand final are available now through Ticketek.
