Yesterday, it was HTC's Desire HD (AKA HTC Ace) doing the rumour rounds. Today, blog AlienBabelTech has reported some juicy details about another rumoured HTC smartphone: the HTC Glacier.
The Web site revealed alleged benchmark details for the codenamed smartphone, which is rumoured to be the first to run a dual-core Snapdragon CPU. According to a screenshot from GLBenchmark (which has since been removed), the HTC Glacier outperformed a number of smartphones running the standard, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, which has a single core.
Smartphones listed included the US-only Motorola Droid X and HTC EVO 4G — both of these models feature the same 1GHz processor used in popular Android phones available in Australia, including the Telstra-exclusive HTC Desire and the Samsung Galaxy S, currently sold through Optus. The benchmark listing also featured Apple's newly launched iPhone 4.
The Android-based HTC Glacier was allegedly utilising an 800x480 pixel display, but no further specifications have been leaked.
