Samsung's Galaxy S II: now available for pre-order through Vodafone
Vodafone has begun taking pre-orders for Samsung's Galaxy S II Android smartphone, with deliveries of the handset set to commence "from the end of June" for customers who order online.

Detailed on a dedicated page on the Vodafone Web site, and announced through the Vodafone blog, the Galaxy S II has been made available for pre-order through the telco until 9 June "unless extended".
The pre sale page states that any pre-orders will be delivered "from the end of June", while Vodafone will provide a free Samsung genuine leather case with all orders before this date.
Vodafone will offer the Samsung Galaxy S II on a range of plans, starting at $0 on its $65 infinite plan over 24 months. The plan includes unlimited calls, SMS, MMS and video calls, along with 2GB of data and unlimited access to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, MySpace, and Foursquare services in Australia.
In addition to the $65 infinite plan, Vodafone will also sell the Galaxy S II for $10 per month on the $45 infinite plan (500MB data) and $0 on the $85 and $100 infinite plans, which include 3GB and 4GB of data, respectively. All infinite plans include unlimited calls, SMS, MMS and video calls within Australia. The Galaxy S II is also available on a range of standard Vodafone cap plans, including $0 on the $79 cap over 24 months. For all online orders, Vodafone will offer $50 credit that will be applied to your third bill.
Vodafone is the second telco to announce its pricing plans for the Galaxy S II, with Optus the first off the block. The Galaxy S II will also be available through Telstra in June, though pricing is yet to be announced. The device is a quad-band 3G smartphone, so it will work across all three network bands used in Australia, including Telstra's 850MHz Next G network.
Samsung officially launched the Galaxy S II in Australia last week, describing it as "the biggest mobile phone launch for Samsung this year."
