The elusive OnePlus One smartphone will finally go on sale to the public with pre-orders opening this week.
The OnePlus One is a rare breed of smartphone. Its spec sheet can go toe-to-toe with anything from Samsung, Apple and HTC, and yet the One sells for $US299.
Letting this too-good-to-be-true offer down was the availability of the smartphone. A controversial invitation only system was put in place as the company tried to reign in demand.
OnePlus now is opening presales of the One as the hype surrounding the smartphone begins to settle. Presales will open to the public at 3PM GMT on 27 October. Keen Australians will have to wake up at 2AM on 28 October if they want the chance to buy a OnePlus One.
There is a catch: presales will only be open for 1 hour. It's best to jump online and ready your order ahead of pre-sales kicking off.
Those that miss out can rest knowing OnePlus will keep opening limited pre-sale windows.
Update, 22 Oct: OnePlus won't ship the One directly to Australia. GGG has investigated ways around this though, which you can read about by clicking here.
