LG has commenced a global roll out of its flagship G4 smartphone, but Australia will have to wait until the second half of 2015 before its local release.
Company representatives told Good Gear Guide LG is striving to release the smartphone by the second week of July.
The LG flagship is being positioned against Samsung’s Galaxy S6. Promotional material focuses on the camera’s superior f/1.8 aperture, its removable battery and its microSD card slot.
Early reviews of the G4 have been positive. It has an improved 5.5-inch, 1440p display, a laser-guided 16 megapixel camera, is powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor and incorporates genuine leather into its design.
Two additional smartphones will join the G4 range. The South Korean smartphone maker unveiled the G4 Stylus and the G4c yesterday.
The G4 Stylus couples a larger 5.7-inch, 1280x720 display with a stylus, while the G4c introduces the range with its smaller 5-inch screen.
The LG G4 Stylus and the G4c will “launch in strategic markets in the weeks to come”. Full specifications as per the press release follow.
