Samsung Electronics Australia has announced a new addition to the Galaxy tablet portfolio – the second generation Galaxy Tab A 8.0.
“At Samsung, we want Australians to have choice when it comes to the technology they use, and ensure it meets their unique needs,” said Garry McGregor, Director IT and Mobile, Samsung Electronics Australia.
“The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is designed for the whole family. It’s the tablet that’s easy to use whether you’re out and about or curled up on the couch, with long lasting battery to get you through the day.”
The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 builds on the Galaxy design legacy, featuring a refined look and feel with a sleek, metal body and smooth rounded edges, making it comfortable to hold. It offers long-lasting battery, a beautiful display designed to look good in any light, and increased on-board memory with expandable storage.
To improve everyday usability and performance, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is equipped with a bright and immersive display for watching your favourite TV shows, playing games or browsing the web on a screen that is designed to look good even under bright sunlight. It also has an optional blue light filter to balance the brightness and help reduce eye strain, making it easier to view content at night and in dim lighting settings.
The long-lasting battery (5,000mAh) lets users power through movies, games, emails and more, all from a single charge that lasts up to 14 hours. With 16GB of built-in storage and expandable memory for additional files, the tablet allows users to store more apps and content.
Wi-Fi and 4G models are now available in black from Samsung-branded retail stores, the Samsung Online store, JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, The Good Guys, Officeworks and Bing Lee. The Wi-Fi Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is available for $329 and the 4G Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is available for $479.
