Looking for a new smartphone? Why not start with our top rated selections? These smartphones are a rank of the top 10 products based on review scores by the PC World Australia editorial team.
The smartphone market is dominated by Apple's iPhone and Google's Android platform, and this is reflected in our August top rated list. Along with the iPhone 4, our top 10 list for this month includes no less than eight Android phones, headed by the excellent Samsung Galaxy S II, which scored a whopping 4.75/5 stars.
HTC is the most popular smartphone vendor in August, with its flagship Sensation joining the Incredible S, the Facebook inspired ChaCha, and the popular Desire HD, still a top seller at Vodafone.
We test all smartphones accurately and to the highest standards, so that our readers are as informed as possible. Our review process is designed to ensure that smartphones are assessed equally. The basic criteria used by our reviewers includes value, features, performance and design. We rate each product using a five-star scale, with one star being poor, and five stars being highly recommended.
7 / 10
The LG Optimus Black possesses a great design and a good quality camera, along with a screen that offers superb sunlight legibility. The Optimus Black isn’t as fast as the latest dual-core smartphones, but if you’re after an Android phone with style, this should be near the top of your list.
