The best TVs in Australia for 2011
All the best 2011 TVs from Samsung, Sony, Panasonic and LG
2011 is promising some pretty impressive televisions, with a huge range of inbuilt features. There are some pretty cool improvements over last year's sets — passive 3D (like at the movies), streaming Internet TV channels and a whole swathe of picture quality boosts. Nothing's actually hit the ground yet — we should be seeing some of these TVs on store shelves by mid-April — so read through these previews and work out which model suits you best.

Here's a round-up of all Samsung's TVs for 2011.
5 / 8
Sony's HX925 BRAVIA LCD is the company's best TV for 2011. It's got all the 3D trickery of last year's models, the same BRAVIA Internet Video streaming content access, and plenty of new gizmos to keep tech-heads and early adopters happy. Knowing Sony, it'll probably be pricy, but we're not doubting that it'll be visually impressive.

- Pros:
- It's Sony's best TV for 2011, local-dimming LED backlighting should mean excellent contrast and blacks, Sony Internet TV looks impressive
- Cons:
- It'll be quite expensive, why are the screens still so glossy?
