The best TVs in Australia for 2011
All the best 2011 TVs from Samsung, Sony, Panasonic and LG
2011 is promising some pretty impressive televisions, with a huge range of inbuilt features. There are some pretty cool improvements over last year's sets — passive 3D (like at the movies), streaming Internet TV channels and a whole swathe of picture quality boosts. Nothing's actually hit the ground yet — we should be seeing some of these TVs on store shelves by mid-April — so read through these previews and work out which model suits you best.

8 / 8
The Panasonic VIERA GT30 looks to have most of the same specs as the impressive VT30 series plasmas, but we're banking on it being a fair bit cheaper. Most TV watchers probably won't be able to tell the difference in picture quality between the two panels, and the VIERA GT30 has all the same VIERA Connect Web features as the VT30 as well. If it's close to what we're expecting, the Panasonic VIERA GT30 should be a good value plasma TV.
